Our Story

Velor is a small house cutting technical menswear: bomber jackets, ribbed knitwear, tapered joggers and performance polos, shipped free anywhere in the world.

It started with one jacket, worn through three winters of daily commutes, that refused to wear out. Everything below is what happened after we went looking for how it was made.

Brienor brand story - built for the city

Berlin, January

A jacket worth keeping

It came off a rail in a studio the size of a garage, three blocks from the station. No label anyone would recognise. Three winters later it had been through rain, a washing machine more times than we counted, and a hundred and something commutes, and the collar still sat exactly where it should. Every expensive jacket bought that same year had already lost its shape.

Brienor brand story - technical materials

The materials

Fabric that moves, seams that hold

Our shells are cut from a technical weave built to block wind without trapping heat, which is why they hold their line on a cold commute instead of stiffening up. The ribbing softens with every wash and never loses its snap.

The zippers are full-metal over reinforced stitching. Worn daily for a season, they stop being new and start being yours.

Brienor brand story - studio promise

The price

The same fabric, minus the markup

Finding that jacket again in Europe meant choosing between a designer label at 280 euros and fast fashion that pills by September. We went to look at where both were actually made. The shell fabric came off the same technical mills. The zippers came from the same suppliers. What changed between the two price tags was the name stitched inside the collar.

So we cut our own, sell direct, and price it at what the fabric and the work are worth.
